Irvine Company has filed a General Plan amendment application to establish a new planning area called Oak Park (Planning Area 52). The proposed General Plan amendment would facilitate a new planning area, creating a new village with 3,100 homes, an elementary school, a community park, neighborhood parks, and associated transportation and infrastructure improvements. The project is now in its early public participation phase with public hearings anticipated to occur in 12 to 16 months.

Opening at Heritage Community Park in May 1980, this 18,000-square-foot facility provides art camps, classes, events, and open studio programs for all ages in fully equipped art studios for drawing and painting, ceramics, photography, printmaking, jewelry, and culinary arts.

Contemporary and cultural exhibitions showcase local and regional artists. Programs are designed to expand community awareness, understanding and sensitivity to art, and provide leisurely viewing enjoyment.
